1. Which photos are the best to upload or send?

A great book starts with YOU! Your photo makes a huge difference. The best books and cards come from high resolution photos. If you are getting your photo over email from someone else and it is not the original photo file, it is best that the child's face be close to the camera in order to look crisp in the book.

Direct Shot: Make sure the entire face and hair are visible, looking directly into the camera. Nothing can be covering the child's face or hair, like hats or hands. Ideally, the photo is at ´eye level´.

No Dark Photos: The best photos are taken in well lit indirect light. This means no harsh sunlight or flash from the camera. The best light is during the day, either outside in light shade or indoors in a well lit room. Harsh sunlight on photos can cause issues.

No One Else: Only 1 person can be in the photo unless the other person is an adult. If it is an adult in the photo, the book will be made with the child's face.

Copyright free: The photo cannot be copyrighted by anyone other than you.

Head Shot: It is best to use a head shot, but a body shot is fine as long as the child is still prominent in the photo.

2. Which photo formats can I use?

We accept .jpg, .png, .bmp, and tif file formats.

3. Will you tell me if there is a problem with my photo?

Absolutely. If there is a problem with your photo, we will e-mail you to give you the opportunity to send a new photo.

4. How do I send a photo?

5. Do you remove the background from my photo?

Yes, we remove all of the background from the photo, everything but the child's head.
